Who we are
A restaurant and five glamping cabins.
Pod Goro is run by the Kitak family. The property is made up of the restaurant and five glamping cabins, set among the vineyards below Donačka Gora.
Each cabin stands on its own spot, with its own terrace, a hot tub and a view towards the vineyards and Donačka Gora.
Donačka Gora is our backdrop. Every day.
We did not choose this location. We are from here. The hill behind us, vineyards in front of the door, Rogatec about ten minutes away by car — this is not a set. It is where our family lives. Because we live here too, Pod Goro is not a tourist backdrop but our home.
Why
What we like best is when a guest stays on the terrace a little longer in the morning instead of leaving straight away.
Guests sometimes point out things we have stopped noticing, simply because we see them every day.
We cook. We host. We celebrate.
The restaurant is where the bigger occasions happen — celebrations, weddings and gatherings that suit this particular place. We cook with the seasons and use ingredients from close by wherever we can, because that simply makes the most sense to us.
Weddings matter to us. Every one is different. We listen to the couple first, then shape what we offer around them.
Guests can also stay the night in one of the cabins. After a dinner or a celebration nobody has to drive home, and the next morning can be taken slowly.
